Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Movi app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Movi is a property marketplace platform that connects prospective buyers with sellers and their agents. Movi is not itself a seller, an estate agent, a broker, or a party to any property transaction. We provide the technology platform only; all contractual relationships in connection with a property sale are solely between the buyer and the seller (or their representatives).

3. User Accounts

You must register for an account to use most features of Movi. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date. Where required by law or by the nature of the service (for example, for sellers verifying ownership of a property), you may be asked to complete identity verification (KYC) through our verification partner, or ownership verification against official land-registry records. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Movi only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not use the service to transmit spam, harass other users, upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, or otherwise act in a way that is harmful or disruptive. You are solely responsible for any content you submit.

5. Property Listings

Sellers and agents are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of any listing information they submit, including property descriptions, photographs, pricing, and legal status. Movi does not verify listing content and makes no representations about the accuracy of any listing, including any ownership-verification badge, which reflects only the result of a point-in-time check. Buyers should conduct their own due diligence before proceeding with any transaction.

6. Communications

Messages sent through the Movi platform are stored on our servers and are subject to our Privacy Policy. You must not use the messaging system to send unsolicited commercial communications, harass other users, or communicate content that is unlawful, offensive, or fraudulent.

7. Offers

Movi allows buyers to submit, and sellers to respond to, offers through the app. An offer made or accepted through the platform is an expression of intent only and does not by itself create a legally binding contract for the sale of property; the formal transaction proceeds outside the platform under the rules of the relevant jurisdiction.

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of Movi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the service you confirm that you have read and understood that policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Movi name, logo, wordmark, and all app content (including design, text, graphics, and software) are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Movi brand or app content without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to provide and improve the service.

10. Prohibited Activities

You must not: scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform by automated means; impersonate any person or entity; attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the app; or use the service to facilitate fraudulent property transactions or misrepresent your identity or role.

11. Service Availability

The Movi service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or withdraw the service (or any part of it) for maintenance, security, or operational reasons without notice, and we accept no liability for any resulting loss or inconvenience.

12. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Movi and its directors, employees, and licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including losses arising from property transactions facilitated through the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@movi.ae so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot reach a resolution, disputes may be referred to mediation or escalated through the courts of the governing jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
